3D Printed GearBox Limitations
Even though I have finally perfected 3D printed gear strength, the gearbox housing itself can't handle the friction the rotations the gears are producing. Which I did see coming but I was trying to push faster design ideas for faster testing to get the software/hardware tested finally.
Now that I see a good stroke forward and backward with out gears breaking I know the direction to do toward now.
This test has successfully confirmed my hardware computer the Lattepanda with onboard arduino, along with my code, and an awesome stepper motor driver all working properly.
The next stage is to get a strong Aluminum gear box housing developed along with strong Aluminum gears. Check out the next post showing. My new Carbide CNC nomad Milling machine in action!
